1. Hooded Sweatshirt: I realize that some of you may live in areas where it is COLD (and possibly snowy) this time of year, so this may or may not work for you as your only outwear. HOWEVER, a hooded sweatshirt is a nice alternative to a bulky winter coat for those of us who live in the south where it isn't QUITE as cold and/or for those of us who won't have to wait in lines outside of stores. Not only does it provide enough warmth to make it from the car to the store, but if you get too hot in the store, you can tie it around your waist or shove it into a bag if needed. You won't have to lug around a bulky, heavy Winter coat.
2. Long Sleeved Tee: A basic tee is essential for Black Friday shopping. Long after you've shed the hoodie, you still have something to keep you warm enough while rummaging around discount bins, but if you start to feel overheated, it's easy just to push up those sleeves and keep going!
3. Jeans/Comfy Pants: Comfy jeans/pants are much needed as you may have to bend/stoop to reach/pick-up/carry larger items. Make sure that they fit well! You don't want to be pulling your pants up all day long...especially if you're trying to carry a lot of bags to your car or from one store to the next!
4. Socks: Cute socks. Plain socks. Fuzzy socks. Knee high socks. It doesn't matter. Make sure you wear socks so your feet aren't cold if you're standing outside for a bit and/or so you don't end up with blisters after a long day of shopping!
5. Sneakers: Not flats. Not heels. Not wedges. Sneakers. Sneakers are a must-have for a long day of bargain hunting! If you're going to be on your feet all day (and you're over the age of 16) you're going to want shoes that support your arches, your calves, and your back. One of the most crucial pieces of your long-day wardrobe is the shoe and it should 9 times out of 10 be sneakers!
6. Hair Accessories: Hair things are indispensable in my opinion. I have long-ish hair. If I didn't pull my hair back in a ponytail, with a headband, or with a hair clip or bobby pins, I would CONSTANTLY be pulling it back, pushing it behind my ear, etc. Plus, if I get hot and sweaty, it sticks to my forehead and turns into a greasy mess. So...this coming Friday, if your hair is long enough, pull it back with whichever accessory you prefer and save yourself the hassle!
7. Cross Body Bag: Raise your hand if you enjoy schlepping around a heavy purse all day? No one? Me either. By carrying a bag that allows you to wear it over your head and across your body, you save your arms from getting sore/worn out too soon, while also keeping track of your wallet, keys, phone, etc.
8. Watch: What better way to know when it's time to move on to another store than with a watch? Some stores have sales that start at different times. Wearing a watch can keep you up to date on the time, while also eliminating the need to constantly check your phone, which can result in losing it, dropping it, or having it stolen.
9. Minimum Jewelry: This is one item that's best kept at a minimum on Black Friday. You don't need anything extra weighing you down. You also don't want to worry about keeping track of it or losing it in all of the hustle and bustle. If you simply MUST wear some jewelry (other than your wedding rings of course) I recommend you keep it simple as well as inexpensive.
10. Beverage of Choice: If you're going to the early bird Black Friday sales, you might want to get some coffee to keep you awake! Soda, hot chocolate, smoothies, etc. are also options, however, drinking water along with your caffeinated beverage of choice will help you stay on your game longer as well as keep you hydrated! Opt for throw-away cups if bringing beverages from home; it will be one less thing you have to carry around all day!
So there you have it! My guide to Black Friday fashion! Happy shopping next Friday, everyone!

This is such a cute pink outfit! I might wear something similar tomorrow just for the heck of it. =]
