Music Monday 3/12/12

This song came on the radio yesterday on my way home from work. Every single time I hear it, I think "What if this song is true?" What if all of the suffering I've endured over the last almost 21 months is actually a mercy in disguise? Or what if it's meant to bring me healing? What if it's meant to bring me closer to God? I know for a fact that I'm not letting it be any of those things. Brokenness can be a really good thing, but if we make no allowance for healing or repair, then what is the point? I know I am in a severe valley of doubt right now. I'm struggling with everything I believe in, but not because God has left me to rot in my own misery, but because I'm lacking faith when I'm making each desperate plea. Part of it is because I'm afraid of not getting the results I desire. Part of me thinks that just because I believe it CAN happen doesn't mean that it WILL happen. I'm tired of being disappointed. I'm tired of feeling let down. I'm thirsty, and I'm ready to drink from the eternal fountain.
