Day 8--30 Days of Thankfulness

Today I am thankful for my church! I've been at Pinedale Christian Church since I was in 4th grade...aka 15 years. I was baptized there. I went through the Children's, Youth, and Single's ministries there. I've gone on several mission trips, worked in the community, and within the church there. Throughout the years, Pinedale has grown from about 400 people to about 1400 people on an average Sunday. There are a lot of people that I don't know. (I find it hilarious when people ask if I'm new there!) However, there are a LOT of people that I've known since day 1. I will always treasure every relationship made there, even if I don't see every person I know every week. I love the changes that God has brought into Pinedale's midst. Moving from a traditional and contemporary service to a traditional, blended and contemporary/alternative service set has brought in SO many people. SOMA, the contemporary/alternative service held in the old sanctuary, has truly blessed my soul, as I know it has others. Most recently, the series on marriage and what it's meant to look like rocked MANY people's faces, including my own. I cannot say enough about Pinedale! If you live in the Winston-Salem, NC/Triad Area and are in need of a church home, please do not hesitate to visit. If you make it through the doors and back out again without making acquaintance with at least a couple people you didn't know before going in, you are a rare case indeed! If you don't live in the area, feel free to give the Podcasts a listen! Seriously. Do it. You'll love them. :-)

Care to join in on the fun? Create a post each day, sharing one thing that you're thankful for that day! Feel free to grab/post the button on your blog so that others can join in, too!

If you could take 2 seconds and give this a click, it would mean so much to me! Thank you!!
