12 Days of Christmas--Day 6--Christmas Movies

Today's (late) 12 Days of Christmas post, Day 6, is about Christmas Movies. Some of these are classics. Some are contemporary. Some are made for TV. Some went to the big screen first. All are beloved by me!

1. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (Claymation version!)

2. Elf (Smiling's my favorite!)

3. Snowglobe (Made for ABC Family.)

4. A Charlie Brown Christmas (I still get teary-eyed when Linus does his soliloquy.)

5. The Santa Clause (Tim Allen playing Santa? C'mon!)

Favorite Things Part 4

It's been a while since I've made a Favorite Things post, so I feel like it's time for one today!

1. Winter Coats

Now that Autumn is officially here and Winter isn't TOO far away, I'm super excited about breaking out all of the cold weather ware! Here in NC, our mornings are varied from mid 40's to mid 60's, with the warmest part of the day reaching upper 50's to upper 70's. This time of year is sooo tricky! I haven't pulled out and dusted off my winter coats, yet, but I definitely feel the need to share the love I have for coats!

2. Scarves

What goes best with a winter coat during those cool/cold Autumn/Winter days? A scarf! I'm not talking about this flimsy fashion scarves that people wear. I'm talking scarves made for warmth...AND fashion! I love having my three winter coats (one gray that hits mid-thigh, one black that hits at my hip, and one blue plaid that hits at my waist) and having SEVERAL scarves that can be changed out and worn with almost all three of my coats!

3. Children's Holiday Movies

I admit it. I love love love love LOVE holiday movies...especially those made specifically for children. I'm not just talking about Christmas movies such as Frosty, Rudolph, The Night Before Christmas, etc. I'm talking about Halloween, Thanksgiving, Easter, Fourth of July, etc. etc. movies. I love the Hallmark Channel original movies made for adults as well as some of the other made for TV movies, but my most favorite always have and always will be the holiday movies made for kids!
