| My very first Christmas! I was only a couple of weeks old! |
1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot chocolate! I am not a fan of egg nog!
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Santa always wraps presents...unless it's bulky! Like one year, he left our bulletin boards unwrapped.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? I like both! My current tree has white lights on it, but growing up the kid tree had colored lights and mom's tree had white.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? No. Grandma does, though!
5. When do you put your decorations up? It varies! This year, I'm thinking the tree will go up soon!

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? Oh goodness! Umm...I love my mom's aunt sue's baked mac and cheese! OMG! I also love ham, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, cookies, etc. etc. I don't like pie, though!
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I just love being with my whole family and opening presents! We always have a big Kahl Family Christmas party. We all bring food, have Christmas cookies, and open presents. We draw names the year before so we don't buy for EVERYONE!
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? Psch. I was in Wal-Mart with my mom, and I guess I mentioned something about Santa not being real. Mom decided to tell me I was right. I was devastated!!! I was in 4th or 5th grade, though, so I guess it all came at a good time...just not a good place.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? We're allowed to open our gifts from my grandparents in NY...ONLY. And if my dad had it his way, we wouldn't even do that!
10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? With butterflies, my childhood ornaments and any ornaments Vance still has. (Men...) Both sets of grandparents AND my mom buy me an ornament every year, plus Vance and I buy one when we travel. At almost 26 years old...and kidless, my tree is full!

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I LOVE it!!! But after a couple of good snows...it's time for it to go away until next year.
12. Can you ice skate? Yep! Love it!
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Um...I don't know. I always love all of my presents!
14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? It's kind of multi-faceted! I am thankful that God sent his only son to be born in a stable, even though he is the KING. It's important to me to remember that Jesus' beginning was a humble one and it's about his birth. Another aspect of importance is giving to others. Just like Christ gave up his cushy place in Heaven to be born among smelly animals and then later gave his life for our salvation, and also the gifts that the magi brought to Jesus when he was a toddler, so we give to others. I love making people happy through the gifts we give. :-)
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Oreo balls, chocolate eclair cake, fudge, etc. etc.

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? I love our Kahl Family Christmas!
17. What tops your tree? Last year, a big butterfly!
18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving? I loooove giving! Don't get me wrong, receiving is fun, too, but I LOVE buying presents for people! I love thinking about each person and picking out something I know will make their day! I also love watching their faces as they open their presents!
19. Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum? Yuck. I don't like mint flavored things. I LOVE the Sprees candy canes though!
20. Favorite Christmas show? I looove Rudolph, Frosty, Twas the Night Before Christmas, Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown, Elf, etc.

21. Saddest Christmas Song? Christmas Shoes by Newsong. It's so sweet, but so sad, too!
22. What is your favorite Christmas song? I love Carol of the Bells! It's sooo pretty to listen to! Josh Groban's O Holy Night is my absolute fav!! I think O Holy Night and Silent Night are my fav to sing.
