So anyway...life is what happens when you're busy. I haven't felt much like blogging. I've been in a slump outside of my nannying job/graphic art business. I have struggled with this whole not being pregnant thing. For some reason, I just don't think I'm getting a positive this month either. No proof...too early to tell, but just a gut feeling based on past experience. Plus, if I were to be pregnant, I would be super excited without having worked myself up about it. It's easier that way. I need to guard my heart. Enough about all of this, though. THIS is one reason why I haven't been blogging much the past couple of weeks.
In other news, received my first blog award a couple of weeks ago! My sweet friend, Cami, over at First Day of My Life, bestowed the Versatile Blogger Award on me! Thanks so much, Cami! You rock!
The Rules after accepting the Versatile Blogger Award are:
- Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to them in your post.
- Share 7 things about yourself
- Pass this award along to 10 recently discovered blogs.
7 Things About Me
1. I double majored in college at Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University.) My two majors were Bible and Elementary Education. I was accepted into the Master's program for Holistic Education, but decided not to go.
2. I am terrified of mice, rats, and most rodents...including squirrels.
3. I LOVE glitter!!
4. My favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast.
5. The paranormal fascinates me, but I do not believe it is ok to screw around with psychics, mediums, witchcraft, etc. I am a Christian and a firm believer that both light and dark forces exist. I have experienced demonic activity as well as angelic activity. Both are VERY real. (If you want to know more about my experiences, please feel free to email me. It really isn't blogging material nor something I want to downplay by putting it on the Internet.)
6. I do not anger easily, but I irritate easily, especially if it pertains to people KNOWING what they should be doing and CHOOSING to do the opposite. I have a low tolerance for stupidity. HOWEVER, I am a patient person, and I forgive easily. I know. I am a conundrum.
7. I've never dyed my hair. I've had highlights a couple of times, but I have never fully changed my hair color. It is naturally DARK brown. People ask me ALL THE TIME which hair dye product I used to get my hair to be black, but not witch-looking. I have to tell them it's natural because I'm Italian on my mom's side and have Cherokee and Sioux on my dad's side. (My sisters' hair isn't nearly as dark as mine due to our Irish, English, German, etc. blood that also runs through our veins.)

I have even MORE fans now, too! Closer to 640! Now...people need to start ordering more! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'll consider the blog post about the paranormal. It's just some intense stuff and I honestly don't want people diminishing my experiences or thinking I am a complete whack job.

I'm usually just a reader, so here's my first comment on your blog! Strangely enough, I don't live far from Johnson Bible College. It will always be JBC to me, haha. We are the same age, so you probably know some of the people who went there from my high school. :)
ReplyDeleteValerie, that's too funny! Who went there from your high school??
ReplyDeletexo,
A
I don't know if you know them, but James Ramos, Aaron Ray, I think Elizabeth Johnson did too! :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! That is too funny! Elizabeth I "knew" but we didn't really hang in the same circle and she graduated soon after I got to JBC. I don't think I ever knew Aaron. As for Ramos...I had most of my classes with him since he was Teacher Ed as well! Hi sister, Becca, and I were really good friends and were in Gospel/Tour Choir together, too. Small world!!
ReplyDeletexo,

Wow! Small world indeed. I actually went K-12 with James & his sister. Their mom was even my first grade teacher, haha. :) Life is weird!
